We know that we need to make our session varied for them to be effective, but what specifically should we take into account? Using social-neuroscience and understanding our diverse ways of thinking and behaviour is an excellent starting point.
In this session we had a whistle-stop tour of 7 attributes to understand diverse ways of thinking and behaving, understanding your own self-awareness as a trainer and that of others, in order to create session plans that resonate and speak to us all.
Considering these attributes will help us to:
• Identify our own thinking and behavioural preferences as a trainer
• Plan a session for all and one that doesn’t just speak to you
• Spot what different behavioural attributes may look like in the training room
• Select activities that speak to a range of behavioural preferences
