It’s frustrating when a carefully designed exercise fails, or when a lively discussion falls flat. SOMETIMES the reason that some things don’t go to plan is because we didn’t properly take into account the culture of the delegates.
Culture is huge, and difficult to define but it must be taken into account when designing training for global audiences or cultures other than our own. It can have a far bigger impact on the success or failure of training than anything else.
In this Lunch n Learn we scratch the surface of what culture is, what it means and some of the ways we can define culture to adapt our training to fit delegates’ norms. After all, it’s not about US, it’s about THEM.
