This video explains why Learning styles are a myth.

Personally, I've never subscribed to the idea that people should be taught in accordance with their learning style. However, I DID believe that we had preferences and having multiple ways for people to access the learning works. Obviously, some skills (like swimming) are best learned in a hands-on way, whilst philosophy is best covered via reading, discussion and reflection.

This video explains why although the IDEAS that people learn different is not wrong, the REASONS they do that is nothing to do with a prefered learning style.
