Missing Google Jamboard? Take another look at Zoom!
There’s no doubt that blended learning is here to stay, so facilitators need to be able to run virtual training sessions just as easily as they can run face to face ones.
However, when you work alone, it’s hard to get the confidence (and practice) outside of the glare of live sessions with real participants. So it’s understandable that even experienced facilitators are often nervous about running virtual training sessions and using tech. It’s a lot to manage, so it’s good to keep it simple, but at the same time, we need to keep it engaging!
In 2020, we all flocked to Google Jamboard for it’s ease of use and versatility, and we mourned its passing last year. Luckily Zoom has quietly built a very decent replacement for it, which (ultimately) should be easier for participants attending virtual training sessions. And of course, there are polls (and other tools) built in too.
In this video I highlight how to set up and use Whiteboards and Polls in Zoom to enhance your virtual training sessions. For lots more tips and resources for designing engaging virtual training, take a look HERE.
