Training Design is what links strategy and vision to specific behaviour change and results, so it's VITAL we get it right
Training design is rarely covered in formal qualifications and glossed over in traditional Train the Trainer courses.
So L&D professionals have to work out how to do it for themselves in a process of trial and error.
But surely, design is too important to risk getting it wrong?
If you want to learn to design training in a PRACTICAL way, this 3-part programme will help.
Even if you’re an experienced L&D professional, you’ll learn WHY certain things you already do work well (so you can keep doing them) and what ELSE you can do to make your training design better, easier or quicker.
Programme Objectives
By completing this programme you will be able to:
-
Follow a robust process for designing live training events (whether face-to-face or virtual)
-
Design training to meet a clearly defined need
-
Create a top-level design to get stakeholder buy-in and act as your blueprint for course creation
-
Use tried and tested methods to design a live, interactive training event in detail, to bring about behaviour change
-
Produce materials that make facilitation consistent, easy and engaging whether the training is being delivered face-to-face or virtually
-
Set appropriate measures to evaluate the success of your training design before and after delivery.
-
Feel confident that the training you design will deliver real results, no matter who is delivering it.

FAQs
How are the live sessions run?
All live sessions are run virtually via Zoom so you can join us from anywhere.
What is GiraffePad?
GiraffePad will act as our learning hub. You WILL need to create a FREE account. Within GiraffePad, you will be able to chat to fellow participants securely, share resources, access other materials and find links to our live sessions. Learn more about GiraffePad HERE.
What if I can't make a live session?
Live sessions will be recorded and accessible for 3 months. However, due to the sequential nature of the programme, AND it’s practical nature it is strongly recommended that you attend in person. However, when life gets in the way, you can catch up via the recordings.
If I put my name on the waiting list, when will dates be confirmed?
Dates will be confirmed by the end of October. They are LIKELY to be Thursday afternoons.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes – please speak to me about that. I’m happy to accept payment in 2 instalments (one at the start and one at the end) or 3 monthly payments, as long as the first is paid before we begin.
Can you invoice me?
Yes – I’m happy to do that. Payment terms are 14 days.
Do I get a qualification?
No. This is a PRACTICAL course, by a practitioner for practitioners. Getting the programme accredited would simply add unnecessary admin and more cost. However, you CAN get a certificate outlining what has been covered and CPD hours invested.
