5Wk Programme

Delivering a great virtual session is NOT about using a whizzy app, creating some cool graphics or feeling confident with Zoom.  Success starts way earlier than that.

It starts with great design… Just like a face-to-face session. The better your session is designed, the easier it will be to deliver, and the more effective it will be for participants.

If you need help designing or converting courses that will be delivered online, the Designing For Digital Delivery programme will do just that.

This 5 module-programme will help to make sure that the design of your virtual training sessions is first class, giving you full confidence in your programme or workshop.

It’s NOT a technical programme. It’s about designing a great interactive live training event that will work in the virtual environment.

Module 1

Planning

In this session we go back to first principles to consider the purpose of the training and what participants need to achieve for them to consider it a success. It’s all about outcomes, objectives and avatars.

Module 2

Content

Selecting the right content for a virtual session is critical. You have to offer the maximum value in the least time. It’s about choosing the right content at the right level, for the right people.

Module 3

Structure

Great content doesn’t make a great course. It has be structured in a brain-friendly way and flow easily. This session is all about making the content easy to access and digest in the digital environment.

Module 4

Methods

Bringing content to life in a way that makes it stick and maximises learning is the focus of this session. Virtual learning doesn’t have to be boring, but the challenge should come from the learning NOT from the tech. This session makes sure that you get the balance right.

Module 5

Finishing Touches

Now you have designed a great virtual session, you need to do it justice when it is delivered. In this final (more informal) session, we look at the additional tools you can use to enhance a virtual training session as well as consider some tips for great delivery.
