You are an experienced facilitator who needs to formalise what you do - maybe so you can deliver your sessions virtually rather than face to face, OR so you can train others to deliver on your behalf . You know your stuff and have a great reputation. Naturally you want to maintain that, whether you're delivering the same event through a different format OR you are entrusting others to deliver on your behalf.
In either case, following your instincts and relying on your years of experience - it leaves too much to chance. You need to get what's in your HEAD onto paper. In effect, reverse engineer the great experience that you provide in a classroom-based workshop so that it can be planned for, reproduced and delivered consistently in another way or by another person.
As an expert in your field, it can be difficult to see the wood for the trees. You can be too close to the content to approach the design objectively.
This course will allow you to follow a simple process to get great content out of your head and scope out a training course that will deliver results – whether its face to face or virtual. Using 4 Pillars of Training Design will focus your mind (and attention) on what really matters when designing a great training session. It doesn't matter if that session is to be delivered face-to-face or virtually - following these principles will guarantee your training will be a success. Once you have solid foundations, you can enhance it with personal touches.
It's actually a great starting point for those new to training too:
- subject matter experts who are asked to run specialist sessions on specific topics and don't want to deliver a lecture
- those who have moved into training from an operational role, maybe on a secondment
- consultants and coaches who want to add training to their services
